Welcome to my newsletter (and thank you for being here).
As we approach National Women’s Health Week, which takes place from May 14 to May 20, let’s focus on the importance of women’s health and well-being. In other words, each of of us must focus on our own health and well-being.
The theme for this year is:
Women face unique health challenges that require special attention and care, and I encourage ALL WOMEN to take this opportunity to prioritize their health.
Mental health is a critical aspect of women’s health. Women are more likely than men to experience anxiety and depression, and it is important to seek support when needed.
Talking to a therapist or counselor, joining a support group, or practicing self-care techniques such as mindfulness and meditation can help improve mental well-being.
Physical activity, diet and nutrition are also key components of women’s health.
Women should aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise per week, as well as muscle-strengthening activities at least twice a week.
A balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein can help reduce the risk of chronic diseases. And let’s not forget about our calcium and vitamin D intake to maintain strong bones and prevent osteoporosis…. I know, I know, so many things, but I promise you if we take action and do just a little bit around each of these areas, our future selves will thank us greatly.
And don’t forget I have this lovely podcast where I chat with wonderful friends and community leaders. I am always interested in hosting amazing humans like you, so give it a try!
I recently had a powerful chat around mental health with the beautiful April C. Garcia, MPA. She was so open and candid about her own experience with trauma and family. I can’t wait for you to learn more about this talented lady.
Join us and share your story in one of our virtual gatherings at ¡Hablemos! Conversations about Inclusion, Leadership and Purpose with talented humans.
Our voices are EXTREMELY POWERFUL and need to be shared with the world. By sharing your story, you help others believe anything is possible, while they learn about you, your culture, your purpose and your vision towards a more inclusive world!

Let’s change the world together!
