Women Who Lift While They Climb
Redefining Prosperity
Women-owned businesses are not just a growing force, they are a vital engine of our economy. According to the 2024 Wells Fargo Impact of Women-Owned Business Report, women now own 39.1% of all businesses in the U.S., over 14 million enterprises that employ 12.2 million people and generate a staggering $2.7 trillion in revenue.
Yet, despite their impact, women-owned businesses account for just 9.2% of the workforce and 5.8% of total revenue.
The gap is striking, but the potential is powerful.
These aren’t just statistics.
They are stories.
Stories of women who build businesses from passion and purpose. Of those who rise before dawn to care for their children and stay up late working on a dream.
Stories of women like my mother, my forever mentor, cheerleader, and best friend, who showed me that through perseverance and grit, she was able to accomplish her wildest dreams and change the lives of hundreds of families and individuals, including those of my brother and me.
Aida M. Corrales, my mami: Badass entrepreneur, philanthropist, and just an overall great human being
Nearly half of all women-owned businesses are concentrated in four key industries:
Other Services (like salons, dry cleaners, pet care): Over 2.2 million businesses.
Professional Services (consulting, legal, bookkeeping): Over 2 million businesses.
Administrative & Support Services (staffing, office support): Over 1.6 million businesses.
Healthcare & Social Assistance (daycare, home care, mental health): Nearly 1.6 million businesses
Behind each number is a woman who dared to bet on herself.
By telling their stories. By celebrating their resilience. By amplifying their voices and ensuring they have access to capital, opportunity, networks, and education. By educating others and shining a light on the “amalgama” of talent, strength, and leadership women contribute to the world.
Cheers to you and your success!
