Invest in our Planet

¡Hola Fabulous Readers!

Welcome to my newsletter.

As Earth Day approaches, it is important to reflect on the impact we have on our planet and how we can do our part to protect it. Earth Day will be celebrated on April 22nd, and it’s a great opportunity for all of us to think about the actions we can take to make a positive difference.

We need to work together in a #partnership for the planet, where businesses, governments, and citizens are all held accountable for their actions. This means taking steps to reduce our carbon footprint, conserve resources, and protect our biodiversity.

From joining a cleanup to planting a tree, together, we can build a brighter, more sustainable future for ourselves and for generations to come.

True or False: Wasting less food is a way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

True

More than a third of food produced globally never makes it to the table. Some of this wasted food spoils in transit, while consumers throw some of this food out. Approximately 8% – 10% of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions relate to food waste.

April is Autism Awareness Month.

This is a time for us to raise awareness and understanding about autism spectrum disorder, a condition that affects millions of people worldwide. We can all play a role in supporting those with autism, whether it is by learning more about the condition, volunteering with organizations that support autism, or simply being a kind and understanding member of our communities.

In addition to these important topics, it is also essential to prioritize our mental health and wellbeing. One way to do this is by incorporating meditation into our daily routines. Meditation has been shown to have numerous benefits, such as reducing stress and anxiety, improving focus and concentration, and increasing feelings of calm and happiness.

Here are some tips to help you get started with meditation:
  1. Find a quiet, comfortable space where you can sit or lie down and relax.
  2. Focus on your breath and try to let go of any thoughts or distractions that come up.
  1. Start with just a few minutes (or seconds) of meditation each day and gradually increase the time as you feel more comfortable.
  2. Try different types of meditation, such as guided meditations or mindfulness practices, to find what works best for you.
  3. Remember that it’s okay if your mind wanders during meditation – this is normal! Simply acknowledge the thought and gently guide your attention back to your breath.

As we celebrate Earth Day and Autism Awareness Month, let’s also prioritize our mental health and wellbeing by incorporating practices like meditation into our daily routines. By taking care of ourselves, we can better take care of the world around us.

Con cariño,
– Carolina
